Jewish Home At Rockleigh Assisted Transportation Program

The Jewish Home’s Assisted Transportation Program provides safe door-to-door transportation for those seniors unable to get to their medical appointments.

Transports are by appointment and require at least 48 hours notice. The services are available Monday through Thursday from 8 AM to 4:00 PM. There is a nominal charge of $1 each way.

Clients are escorted from their home door to our van and seat belted. Before each arrival the client is given a courtesy call to let them know the pick-up is 5 to 10 minutes away from their home. They also receive the same courtesy call if for any reason the route is running late.

On the return trip home, the client is escorted from the bus to their front door, not leaving the location until the client is safely inside their home. All clients are given both the main facility number as well as the number to the bus cell phone. This enables contact regarding any changes, delays or cancellations.

Clients and their families have said we’ve made such a wonderful difference in their daily routines. They feel absolutely worry free when their loved ones are with us, and we are told daily how much they appreciate the services we provide.
