JHR Welcomes New Assistant Administrator

The Jewish Home at Rockleigh warmly welcomes Stephen J. Epstein, L.N.H.A., as our new Assistant Administrator.

Stephen brings a wealth of experience to the job. Prior to joining JHR, he was Administrator of both the Woodcliff Lake Manor Nursing Home in Woodcliff Lake, NJ and Friedwald House Residential Health Care Facility in New City, NY. He was also Assistant Administrator at the Menorah Home & Hospital for the Aged and Infirm in Brooklyn, NY.

In addition, Stephen was Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions, at Gottesman Co. in New York City, and President and Founder of ElderCards, Inc., an antique photographic greeting card publishing and licensing company in Northvale, NJ.

A resident of Northvale, Mr. Epstein has a NYSDOH Nursing Home Administrator’s license and a State of New Jersey Nursing Home Administrator’s License. He has a Masters in Public Administration from the City University of New York, where he did his thesis on nursing home inspection reports, and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Long Island University. Stephen has taken a variety of continuing education units in order to stay on the cutting edge of the field.

Stephen indicates that he is “very happy to be here and to be part of one of the foremost long-term care facilities in Bergen County. I look forward to helping the facility continue its fine reputation.” His responsibilities at JHR include overseeing dietary, housekeeping, maintenance, rehabilitation, adult day care, human resources, purchasing, security, laundry, and central supply departments.
