Sunday evening, October 18th will be a very special evening for the community as it celebrates the Jewish Home Family’s achievements in caring for our elderly, as well as honoring an esteemed group of community leaders. The event is the Jewish Home Foundation’s Annual Gala, long considered the Jewish community’s social function of the year. This year’s black tie event will return to the Hilton Woodcliff Lake.
The evening’s events will begin with a cocktail hour followed by a sit-down dinner that will feature as its keynote speaker, the Honorable Ed Koch, former New York City Mayor. Former Mayor Koch will also be present at a special reception and book signing prior to the event.
The Jewish Home is pleased to be honoring its past Gala Chairs - “Women of Valor – N’shay Hayil.” They are Angelica Berrie, Myrna Block, Eleanor Epstein, Judy Freilich, Gayle Gerstein, Lynne Klatskin, Dianne Nashel, JoAnn Hassan Perlman, Syril Rubin, Sylvia Shirvan and Fran Ziegelheim. Over the years, these women have shepherded this event to unparalleled success. Their distinction is one truly deserving and underscores the message of volunteerism and community support in fostering programs and services for our elderly.
A Journal honoring these eleven women and directly benefiting all programs and services the Jewish Home Family provides for the elderly, will be published.
Tickets to the event are $300 and Journal Ad rates range from $200 to $25,000. For information about placing an ad in the Journal, or purchasing tickets to the Gala, contact the Development Office at 201-750-4231.
