Our popular Golf, Tennis and Card Outing is soon approaching—Monday, May 19, 2008 at the Edgewood Country Club in River Vale, NJ. This will be our 14th year of a fun-filled day of golf, tennis, card games and socializing. Golfers have the opportunity to play on one of the area’s most beautiful 27 hole courses, competing for “hole-in-one” prizes of an automobile, British Open vacation, $10,000 cash and more. Tennis enthusiasts enjoy an afternoon-long round robin tournament, which also offers the services of a tennis pro. Card players compete for prizes in Mah Jong, Canasta and A.C.B.L. Sanctioned or social games in Bridge.
All participants begin the day with a sumptuous brunch, then top off the day of sports with a cocktail reception and a gourmet dinner. Tournament prizes, give-aways, and a limited auction takes place during the dinner, along with a “50-50” raffle drawing where one can win a minimum of $10,000. Last year’s raffle winner won $15,150!
Proceeds from the event help to provide operational funds to support programs and services for the elderly at the Jewish Home at Rockleigh, the Jewish Home Assisted Living, and through various programs in the communities of Bergen, Rockland and Hudson counties.
Individuals and businesses are encouraged to support the event by becoming sponsors, which are available at various levels, and are recognized throughout the day at the event.
